One person was injured Thursday afternoon in a car/semi crash on South Elm Street at the Southern Railroad crossing in Centralia.

Centralia Police say 21-year-old Lyric Juday of 4th Street in Kell was distracted inside the vehicle and when looking back up saw traffic stopped in front of her for a train.  She swerved into the other lane where her car hit the back quarter of a semi driven by 45-year-old Chad Ulman.

Juday was able to get out of the car on her own and was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.  Ulman was not hurt.
