A 34-year-old Champaign man has pleaded guilty to one of four charges against him in Marion County Court for passing counterfeit $100 bills at four Centralia stores in September of 2023.
Roderick Myers was placed on two years probation, ordered to abstain with random drug testing with recommended counseling, $540 in restitution, as well as paying a $300 fine, $200 public defender fee, and $600 probation fee.
Myers pleaded guilty to delivering counterfeit bills to the Dollar General Store on East Noleman Street. He was eligible for an extended term sentence due to a prior felony conviction in Champaign County.
Charges of passing $100 counterfeit bills at Walgreens, Dollar General on East McCord, and the Dollar General in Central City were dropped as part of the plea.
