At the Pinckneyville Shootout, the Orphans overcame a halftime deficit to Waltonville and earned their 15th straight win with a hard fought 49-45 victory. The Orphans improved to 21-3 behind Dustyn Collins’ 19 points. Waltonville falls to 17-2 and suffers their 2nd straight loss to a 3a powerhouse.
Also at Pinckneyville, Waterloo beat Meridian 74-60, Mascoutah over Murphysboro 57-43, Alton beat East Peoria 54-25, Pickneyville dominated Shelbyville 77-47, DeSmet over Glenbrook North 53-41, Triad beat Carbondale 60-50, Trico over Martinsville 39-38 and Freeburg beat Greenville 52-45.
