Police Beat for Tuesday, January 28th, 2025

Salem Police arrested 38-year-old Robert Dodson of North Jefferson in Salem Monday night for alleged aggravated domestic battery and possession of ammunition by a felon.  Police report they responded to a domestic at Dodson’s home where he was accused of placing his hands around the neck of the alleged victim for about 10 seconds.  During the investigation, ammunition was allegedly found.

Five others were brought to the Marion County Jail on outstanding no bond warrants.

  • 36-year-old Derek Feldhake of Effingham was returned to the Marion County Jail from Effingham on a Marion County no bond felony failure to appear warrant.
  • 23-year-old Meagham Bateman of Richardson Road in Centralia was arrested by Salem Police on a no bond misdemeanor failure to appear warrant.
  • 23-year-old Shakira Woodley of Fairway Drive in Centralia was arrested by Centralia Police on a no bond failure to appear misdemeanor warrant.
  • 42-year-old Fredrick Rowcliff of Monroe Street in Junction City was arrested by Wamac Police on a major traffic no bond warrant.
  • 35-year-old Maleah Durham of Quail Run in Salem was arrested by Salem Police on an outstanding Jefferson County felony failure to appear warrant. She was later transferred to the Jefferson County Jail at Mt. Vernon.
