The Franklin Park Lady Bobcats will continue play in the SIJHSAA Class L state tournament with their semifinal game tonight at 7:15 against Harrisburg. The winner will advance to Saturday’s final at 11am against either Herrin or Mt Carmel who play at 6pm tonight at Rend Lake College.
Last night, the Class M state semifinals were played. Kendyl Voss scored 14 and Reese Kreke had 11 points and 10 rebounds as Aviston knocked off St Clare 44-42 and will advance to take on Smithton who beat Goreville 45-29. It will be a rematch from last year’s state title game that saw Smithton win at the buzzer. The state title game is Friday at 7:30 with the 3rd place game to begin the night at 6pm.
