Benton: The Benton Rangers will play for the championship of their own tournament tonight against Meridian after the Rangers knocked off Carterville last night 52-42. Meridian beat Herrin 71-67. The 3rd place game will be at 6 followed by the 7:30 title game. The day begins with Roosevelt and Sesser Valier playing for 7th place at noon followed by Hamilton County and Vandalia for the consolation title.
Nashville: The semifinals were last night at the Nashville Invitational. Marion knocked off Breese Central 50-48 and Waterloo took care of Nashville 43-39. The championship is at 7:30 tonight with the 3rd place game at 6. KIPP Academy opens the day in the 7th place game against Metro East Lutheran followed by Mascoutah and Mater Dei in the consolation finals.
Okawville: At Okawville last night in semifinal play, Wesclin beat highland 70-66 and Columbia beat Carlyle 52-37. The championship is tonight at 7:30 with the first game featuring Christ Our Rock and Gibault in the7th place game at 3 and Okawville plays Madison in the consolation finals.
LITTLE ILLINI: The Little Illini Conference Tournament opens up today. Top seed Olney will take on Robinson at 1, the 4/5 matchup at 2:30 is Marshall against Paris. 2nd seed Lawrenceville will take on Mt Carmel at 4 followed by 3rd seed Casey-Westfield takes on Newton at 5:30.
MTC: The MTC Tournament will finish up today. The championship at 1pm will feature undefeated Waltonville taking on Nathaniel Marlow and Webber. The day begins with the consolation finals at 10 between Red Hill and Wayne City. Grayville and Woodlawn will play for 3rd place at 11:30.
Litchfield: It’s the final day of the Litchfield Invitational highlighted by tonight’s title game between Triad and Civic Memorial at 7pm with Taylorville and Mattoon playing in the 3rd place game at 5:30. The day opens with Pana and Hillsboro at 11 for 11th place, then Litchfield and McGivney at 12:30, Roxana and Nokomis for 7th place and the 5th place game is Marquette and Greenville.
