MTC: The MTC Tournament opened up yesterday. Waltonville beat Patoka/Odin 67-52, Grayville over Red Hill 72-60, Webber took down Cisne 66-45 and Woodlawn over Wayne City 56-46. The consolation semifinals are today with Patoka/Odin taking on Red Hill at 6 followed by Cisne and Wayne City at 7:30.
Benton: The final opening round games of the Benton Invite were yesterday. Meridian held off Vandalia 76-70 and Herrin over Sesser Valier 50-39. The tournament will resume tomorrow.
Nashville: Tonight is the consolation semifinals at the Nashville Invitational. Kipp Academy takes on Mascoutah at 6 followed by Metro East Lutheran and Mater Dei at 7:30.
Okawville: The opening round finished up at the Okawville Invitational with Carlyle beating Madison 57-39 and Columbia routing Gibault 68-20. Tonight the consolation semi’s will be Christ Our Rock and Okawville at 6 followed by Madison and Gibault at 7:30.
Sparta: Last night at the Sparta Tournament, Murphysboro beat Marissa 68-47, Pinckneyville 73-42 over Red Bud and Freeburg lost to Sparta 69-63. Tonight it’s Freeburg and Murphysboro at 5:30 followed by Trico and Steeleville and then Sparta and Marissa.
