The 73rd Salem Invitational Tournament tips off tonight with the opening two games. At 6pm, 11-6 and 4-seed Champaign Central takes on Carbondale. The Terriers are 6-12 but just took Mt Vernon to double overtime on Friday night.
The 7:30 game will feature the top-seed Centralia Orphans flying in at 16-3 overall and riding a 10-game winning streak. They will get the Flaming Hearts of Effingham, under first year coach Mack Thompson the Hearts are playing better as they enter the SIT and are 6-13 on the year.
Tomorrow will see TTown and Charleston open up before Salem and Mt Vernon play in the final opening round game.
