The Benton Invitational Tournament opened up last night and the host Rangers treated those in attendance to some history.  Senior and Colorado State recruit Docker Tedeschi broke the single game tournament record for scoring dropping 50 points in the Rangers 80-24 win over St Louis Roosevelt.  Docker breaks the long time record of Benton standout JoJo Johnson.

Benton will advance to Friday’s semifinal against Carterville after they beat Hamilton County 58-25.  The other 2 first round games will be tonight with Meridian taking on Vandalia at 6pm followed by Herrin and Sesser/Valier at 7:30.
