A 31-year-old Salem man has turned himself in on three outstanding warrants. Zachary Arnold of South College was arrested on a Marion County traffic and misdemeanor no bond warrants as well as a Washington County warrant.
35-year-old Jesse Sanchez of North Avenue in Iuka was arrested by Marion County Sheriff’s Deputies for aggravated domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic battery.
The Salem Fire Protection District answered two calls on Monday. The first was to a washer malfunction at a home in the 400 block of South Walnut where the home filled with smoke. There was no actual fire. Windows were opened to get out the smoke. The second fire was at a residence in the 4600 block of CJ Hecht Road in Salem where the residents reported a hot smell. No fire was found.
