Franklin Park completed a dominant regional with a 64-17 win over Wesclin to take the Class L regional crown. Brynn Kessler had 16, Lexie Malan 15, Kenna Benjamin 14 and Braelan Knaak finished with 11. Salem will open up with Waterloo at Rend Lake College next Saturday at 1:15.
Today, the Region 3 tournament opens with Hamilton County hosting Benton followed by Casey Mt Vernon and Central Jr High. The Region 8 title will be played for today when Olney takes on Mt Carmel at Carmi.
In Class S regional championships today, Waltonville will host Trinity St John Nashville at 1pm. Summersville will take on New Horizon this afternoon at 2pm at Summersville.
Last night, Bartelso beat Germantown to win the Region 6 Tournament 42-40. New Hope won the Region 8 title over Field 45-27.
In Class M last night, Aviston won their own title beating Breese All Saints 59-25, Woodlawn beat visiting Wayne City 37-20 to advance to state and today, Nashville looks for their 9th regional title in 10 years when they host Okawville at 11 a.m.
