A 57-year-old Centralia man escaped serious injury when his car ran off the road and hit a power pole in the 900 block of 2nd near Myer Street.
Centralia Police say the impact brought down the power lines which had to be restored by Ameren.
The crash occurred at 5:43 on Thursday afternoon.
