The post season began for some junior high girls teams. In Class S at Waltonville, the hosts beat Tamaroa 45-7, Pinckneyville 27-16 over Desoto, Elverado beat St Andrew Murphysboro 37-23. Tonight its TSJ Nashville and St John Lutheran Chester.
Also Patoka/Odin opened with a 35-24 win over Sandoval. They advance to play tonight at 7pm against top-seed Germantown. Also last night, Bartelso routed Central City 65-16 and Albers over Selmaville 39-12. Also tonight Willow Grove/St Mary will take on Hoffman Trinity.
At Summersville, the hosts beat Bethel 47-7, Rome over Raccoon 47-6, St Mary’s Mt Vernon 43-8 over Opdyke and New Horizon opened with a 43-28 win over Spring Garden.
At Iuka, Bluford advances with their 37-26 win over Jasper, Field eliminated Iuka 57-9 and St Joe Olney over Allendale 44-3.
In Class M at Aviston, the hosts beat Lebanon 57-10 and All Saints beat Breese 12 37-33.
