Several area cheerleading squads competed at the ICCA State Competition in Springfield on Saturday. The Salem Squad finished 13th and completed their 2nd straight year to qualify for State in their first two years of competition.
Centralia was 2nd in the Medium Varsity Division behind Highland. Waterloo and Triad were 4th and 5th win Civic Memorial 8, Mascoutah 9th and Mt Vernon 10th. Mt Vernon did take home the Medium Varsity Game Day title.
Flora won the Small Team Game Day championship with Wesclin 6th, Sesser Valier 8th, and Vandalia 10th.
