The Centralia Orphans made it 8 straight wins as they beat visiting Mascoutah on Saturday 59-48. Dustyn Collins continued his stellar play with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Michael Organ added 14 and Archie Goewey added 10. The 13-3 Orphans will be back in action Tuesday with a trip to Charleston.
Also in boys hoops on Saturday, Altamont beat Woodlawn 52-43, Mater Dei 54-51 over Carbondale, Edwardsville beat Althoff playing without Dierre Hill 77-56, St Anthony over Decatur St Teresa 53-22, TTown beat New Berlin 58-34.
At the Taylorville Tournament fans got to see the #2 ranked 4a and undefeated Waubonsie Valley knock off Sacred Heart Griffin 65-41.
