The Salem Wildcats had another disappointing loss last night, this time to visiting Roxana as the Wildcats fell 49-43. Ryegan Warren led Salem with 16, Noah Nix finished with 9 points and 9 rebounds. Salem is 3-13 on the season and is scheduled to play at Vandalia tomorrow. The game is scheduled for a 4pm jv start and varsity to tip at 5:30.
The Salem JV opened the night with a 46-21 win. The Wildcats were a bit rusty having not played in nearly 3 weeks. Payton Gullion led Salem with 12 points; Eli Baker added 10 with 6 each from Carter Lowe and Avery Gullion.
Also in boys hoops last night, Columbia earned a Cahokia win over Freeburg 65-36, Highland beat Waterloo 42-26, Woodlawn 70-34 over Sandoval.
