An 18-year-old Dix man has been arrested for aggravated domestic battery, criminal damage to property and resisting arrest following an altercation in the Richmond Heights Mobile Home Park in Central City.
Central City Police say Dustin Reed allegedly became involved in a dispute at his girlfriend’s home. He later got into his vehicle where he refused to stop honking the horn. His girlfriend eventually opened the car door and got into a physical confrontation with Reed that resulted in her allegedly receiving a broken nose and other facial injuries.
When police arrived, Reed was allegedly kicking the car. He reportedly refused to cooperate with police but was eventually handcuffed.
Both Reed and the alleged victim were taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment of injuries. Reed was transported to the Marion County Jail after being released.
Police received their first call about the incident at three Wednesday morning.
