The Wrestling Lady Wildcats were in their first all girls meet of the season at the Murdale Tournament in Carbondale. Shea McGee, Adrie Dodson, Alana Finney, and Sierra Malone represented the Wildcats quite well showing a lot of heart and a ton of potential. Sierra Malone had a great tournament making it to the consolation finals and taking home an impressive 4th place. Adrie Dodson once again wrestled with intensity and finished one victory away from the consolation finals. Freshman wrestlers Shea McGee and Alana Finney were in their very first tournament of their short wrestling careers. They both wrested great with Alana ending just one win away from the consolation finals. Sierra Malone 2 pins, Adrie Dodson and Alana Finney both with 1 pin.
The Wrestling Wildcats continue their whirlwind of a season by performing admirably at the 63rd annual Murdale Tournament in Carbondale. This tournament included 31 of the top area teams 1a, 2a , and 3a high schools being represented. Our wrestlers accumulated over thirty victories over the weekend with every one of the boys earning at least one win.
Mt Vernon’s Dillon White was named The Outstanding Wrestler for this year’s Murdale Tournament.
