In a battle of state ranked teams at Chagnon Gym as 3rd ranked 3a Mt Vernon had a halftime lead over #1 ranked 2a Breese Central 31-27, but the Lady Cougars finished the game on a 28-4 run to finish with a 61-41 victory. Cece Toennies had 19 for Central and Ella Nettemeier added 14.
