The first day of the Team USA Bowling Trials are in the books in Reno, Nevada.
Salem senior Silas Moats struggled a bit early in the round but found it towards the end averaging 189.17 for the 6-game block for a pin total of 1135 currently in 128th place overall.
Christ Our Rock grad and Oklahoma Christian freshman and Odin native Rhett Runge shot 986 for an average of 164.33 to finish the day 179th. Silas and Rhett will be back in action at 2pm pacific time or 5pm our time.
Vandalia’s Macy Jones shot 1222 and finished the first day in 31st place out of 99 averaging 203.67 in her 6 games.
Meanwhile Moats’ team the Salem Wildcats will compete without him today at the Carterville Invitational.
