Elliott Rakers made a layup with 9.6 seconds left in overtime to complete Mater Dei’s rally from a 9-point third period deficit as it captured its own Holiday Tournament title 55-54 over their cross-town rival Central Cougars. The Knights got a 3 pointer at the end of regulation to send it to overtime.
Orchard Farm took 3rd place over Highland 66-37, Mascoutah beat Nashville for 5th place 57-40, Wesclin over Metro East Lutheran 66-50 for 7th, McGivney beat Christ Our Rock in the 9th place game 43-32 and the day began with Gibault over McCluer in the 11th place game 49-38.
