Centralia is into the final four of the Centralia Holiday Tournament and will get a familiar foe in Marist. Both teams have played the past 2 years in their final games of the tournament, and now will meet in the semi’s.
Centralia pulled off a 56-32 win over Champaign Central. Dustyn Collins led 3 Orphans in double figures with 18, Archie Goewey added 13 and Kenny Bratton 10. Chris Bush led Central with 12.
Marist beat Cardinal Ritter 57-32. The teams will square off at 2pm this afternoon in the 2nd semifinal following the 12:30 game between Evanston and Chicago Dyett.
Mt Vernon lost in the quarterfinals to Dyett 48-42. Cale Mauer had 7 points and 11 rebounds, Trevor McCluer led the Rams with 14. They open the day today at 8:30 in the Annex against Alton. At the same time Ritter and Central play in Trout Arena.
