A 49-year-old Centralia man was charged in Marion County Court Friday with aggravated battery and felony domestic battery for allegedly striking a pregnant woman in the shoulder with his hand.
Centralia Police arrested Amos Winters of North Elm Street on the two charges on December 26th. The domestic battery charge is a felony due to Winters having a past domestic battery conviction in Peoria County in 2002
Winters was released on pretrial conditions with a first appearance with counsel and a preliminary hearing scheduled for February 11tth. A public defender was appointed to represent Winters.
