A home on the north side of Salem received minor damage in a Monday night fire.
The Salem Fire Protection District reports a neighbor spotted a fire burning a hole in the outside siding of the Faith Ann Noyer home in the 4500 block of Sycamore Drive.
Firemen say the fire apparently started from a short in the wiring inside the wall. The fire also melted some of the siding.
The firemen turned off the power to eliminate the problem until the electrical system can be fixed.
Firemen were called to the scene at 9:32 Monday night.
