The Sandoval Village Board unanimously approved its new comprehensive plan. The plan is designed to guide the city on Economic Development, housing, land use, infrastructure, utilities and quality of life. Public Comment was sought during the development of the plan. The economic development portion of the plan focuses on new business attraction especially in the Industrial Park, develop a recognition program, retain young people, and develop a program to help new business owners.
The board approved its annual tax levy. It is $75,719, the same as last year.
The board set the salary of the assistant police chief at $3 an hour above an officer. The position is currently open, but is expected to be filled at the January meeting.
The board agreed to provide Christmas bonuses at the same level as last year, $150 for fulltime employees and $75 for part time workers.
