The Salem Lady Wildcats fell to 6-5 on the season with a road loss at Newton 52-31. Salem got 10 points each from Kale Benjamin and Jordan Kessler. Emma Gregg added 7. Salem will be back in action Thursday night when they host Freeburg and then Saturday afternoon welcoming Wood River for a varsity only contest as part of Mega Day on Saturday.
The Lady Cats fresh/soph will play tonight at home against Olney.
Sandoval will travel to Webber tonight in girls hoops.
