Wildcats Fall At Nashville, Prepare To Head To Olney Tuesday

The Salem Wildcats fell to 1-7 on Saturday losing on the road at Nashville 56-38.  It was too much Maddox Ritzel on the day as the junior put up another huge double double for the 2nd straight night.  Ritzel scored 25 points and pulled down 18 rebounds coming off a Friday night performance against Anna that saw him score 31 points and pull down 14 rebounds.  6-7 senior Griffin Briles finished with 10.

Salem trailed by just 2 points in the 3rd quarter with a chance to tie, but Nashville went on a big run to pull away after that.  Noah Nix finished with 12 points on the day, Ayden Rose added 10.

Salem is back in action on the road at Olney on Tuesday night.  The Salem Fresh/Soph are in action tonight hosting Carlyle.

The night began with the Salem JV losing 63-33.  Avery Gullion led the JV with 17.  Madden Thompson added 5.
