The Salem bowlers went to Columbia for tournament action on Saturday. After a morning of seeding games, the Salem boys were 5th after having their JV play in the morning. When the varsity took over, they beat 4 seed Waterloo in the opening match, and then knocked off Carterville the top seed by 100 pins before falling to Mt Vernon by 7 pins in the final.
The Lady Wildcats were the top seed after the opening seed matches, but fell in the semifinals. They would end up 3rd place.
