Sandoval Police are seeking a black male wearing a black hoodie and a black mask in connection with an armed robbery of the BP station at US 50 and 51 in Sandoval Sunday night.

Sandoval Police Chief Joe Lyons says two employees were around the diesel tanks on the west side of the building when the male suspect walked up to them, pulled his shirt up to display a gun, and demanded money.   One of the employees was thrown to the ground and had his wallet taken.  The suspect threw the wallet back at him after all the money was removed.

The other employee said the man demanded money from him and took the gun from his waistband and held it out at him.  However, the second employee ran away and the suspect ran back to the north where he came from.

Police were given a description of a possible get-away car.   They are also reviewing video surveillance taken at the BP store and other nearby locations.

Lyons reports there were no injuries in the armed robbery.
