One person was injured in a three-vehicle chain reaction crash on West McCord 100 feet west of Aaron Parkway in Centralia.
Centralia Police say a van driven by 33-year-old Brittany Tapp of Centralia was traveling eastbound on McCord when she failed to stop for two vehicles in front of her waiting for the traffic light to change to green. Tapp first hit a pickup truck driven by 19-yea-rold Frank Basting of Norton Road in Odin pushing it into an SUV stopped in front of him driven by 26-year-old Emily Toennies of Greenview Road in Centralia.
Tapp was taken to SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Centralia for treatment. A young child in the vehicle also went to the hospital but did not appear to be injured. Toennies also complained of minor injuries, but did not require hospitalization.
The crash occurred at 2:30 Thursday afternoon.
