One person was injured in a two vehicle crash at Noleman and Elm in downtown Centralia on Thursday morning.

Centralia Police say a car driven by 48-year-old Kimberly Biebel of Mascoutah was eastbound on Noleman when she reportedly ran a red light and struck a northbound car on Elm Street driven by 37-year-old Timothy Burton of South Maple in Centralia.

Both drivers escaped injury, but a passenger in the Burton vehicle was taken to SSM Health in Centralia for treatment.  43-year-old Gregory Carpenter of Reserve Street in Wamac was complaining about a rib injury.

The crash occurred at 6:27 Thursday morning.  Centralia Fire and Lifestar Ambulance also responded to the scene.
