A 20-year-old Salem man has been charged in Marion County Court with child pornography.
Dru Willhoite of Selmaville Road is accused of possessing a film, videotape, photograph or other similar visual reproductions or depiction by a computer of a child under the age of 18 involving a lewd exhibition. The charge stems from an October 15th incident.
The case was handled by the Marion County Sheriff’s Department, which has not released any further details.
The charge is a Class three felony with a mandatory minimum fine of $1,000 and a maximum fine of $100,000.
Willhoite indicated he would hire his own attorney. As part of pre-trial release, Willhoite was ordered to have no contact with the alleged victim or anyone under the age of 18.
A preliminary hearing is set for January 19th.
