A 28-year-old Salem man has been arrested by Salem Police for alleged criminal trespass to a vehicle and resisting arrest following a late Tuesday night foot chase.
Police report they had received a call from a resident on South Marion Street that someone was sitting in her car. When they arrived, the man later identified as Guy Collins of South College Street, allegedly ran. He was apprehended on South Hamilton and was arrested after allegedly getting into an altercation with the arresting officer.
Collins had just been released on pretrial conditions after being charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass to a residence on October 28th. In that case, Collins is accused of entering a neighbor’s home while she was away from the home and had been found on her return taking a shower and washing his clothes.
