Marion County’s new coroner Claude Howell, Jr. has announced his staff.
Howell says deputy coroner Feron Ice will remain on staff and will be chief deputy.
With the retirement of Doug Krutsinger, Howell has appointed retired State Police officer Todd Schultze as deputy coroner. Howell says Schultze did considerable work in the area of homicides while working for State Police and will be a big asset to the office.
Howell reports part-time clerk Lisa Morris will remain and her husband Chad Morris will continue as a volunteer deputy.
Howell says the coroner’s office will be open from eight to noon Monday through Friday in the basement of the public service building.
Howell is looking forward to working with his team which he feels will be able to provide excellent service to the county.
