Wildcats Fall In Capital Classic 5th Place Game

The Salem Wildcats dropped the 5th place game at the 38th annual Capital Classic losing to Olney 44-35.  Noah Nix led Salem with 11 points, Miking Ettress added 8 points and Payton Gullion had 3 blocked shots.  Arjay Keller led Olney with 16 before fouling out.  Casey Thomann added 17 points.  Salem went 1-3 in the tournament and will return to action on Tuesday at 1a 7th ranked Effingham St Anthony.  Vincennes Lincoln swept their way through the tournament beating Lawrenceville in the finals 83-63.  TTown over Fairfield in the 3rd place game 60-41 and Red Hill beat Mt Carmel in the 7th place game 59-50 in trophy games played at Red Hill.

Vincenne’s Luke Hall was tournament MVP and joined on the All Tournament team by teammates Joshua Clegg and Joel Sanders; Lawrenceville’s Jayden Goff, Noah Wilson and Maddox Pargin; Fairfield’s Justice Dagg; Red Hill’s Ozzy Ash; Olney’s Arjay Keller; Teutopolis duo of Alex Kremer and Drew Hoene.
