The Salem City Council will be asked Monday night to begin the search for a new city manager.   When taking the city manager job, Annette Sola indicated she would stay until her retirement which was projected for next summer, although no exact date was set.

The council will consider entering into a contract with Arndt Municipal Services to provide all services to begin the search for city manager, including advertisement, background checks, initial interviews, and final interviews.   The total cost is $20,000.

The council will also consider a resolution to set aside motor fuel tax funds for this summer’s oil and chip maintenance program.

A closed session is also on the agenda to discuss personnel.

The meeting begins at six Monday night at Salem City Hall.
