Bruce Campbell, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on April 5, 1955, in Centralia, Illinois, son of Tom and Dorothy (Sloat) Campbell. On August 3, 2002, he married the love of his life, Karen Dugan and she survives.

Bruce was a dedicated floor contractor, known for his integrity and excellence in his work as a self-employed professional. Beyond his career, Bruce was a man of diverse interests and passions. An avid outdoorsman, he found joy in fishing and hunting, often sharing these moments with family and friends. His love for sports extended to playing pool, bowling, and softball, activities in which he was always keenly engaged.

Family was at the heart of Bruce’s life. He is survived by his devoted wife, Karen Campbell, and five beloved children: Todd Campbell and wife Ashley, Kasey Laker and husband Matthew, Mandy Waters and husband Jeremy, Tracey Fortag and husband Michael, and Tara Waters and husband Tony. Bruce was a proud grandfather to 14 grandchildren, each of whom brought special joy to his life. Bruce is also survived by his two sisters, Joyce Broadwater and husband Ron, and Michele Myers and husband Larry. His extended family includes his brother-in-law David Miller, sister-in-law Karen Campbell, several nieces and nephews, and family friends Tom Love and Denise Peters, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

Bruce was preceded in death by his loving parents, Tom and Dorothy Campbell, and his siblings Delores Campbell, Sharon (Campbell) Miller, and Gail Campbell.

In honoring Bruce’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date to commemorate Bruce’s remarkable life, allowing his family and friends to gather and honor his memory.
