Police Beat for Monday, November 18th, 2024

Salem Police say the victim of a domestic battery was taken to Salem Township Hospital for treatment early Monday morning.  49-year-old Michael Tomshack of South Maple was arrested for the alleged domestic battery that occurred at his home around 4:30 am.   He’s being held in the Marion County Jail pending a first appearance in court.

Salem Police also arrested 19-year-old James Mancinelli of Salem Mobile Home Park for domestic battery to his girlfriend.   She did not require hospital treatment.   Police say the incident occurred at his home Saturday night.   Macinelli was also taken to the Marion County Jail.

Two people were arrested on outstanding no bond failure to appear warrants in pending felony cases and taken to the Marion County Jail.   Wamac Police arrested 32-yea-rold Zachary Zeller of South Locust in Centralia and Centralia Police arrested 48-year-old Terry Metts of North Cross in Ina.
