South Central grad Spencer Patton has thrown very well so far in the WBSC Premier-12 Global Battle for Team USA. They opened the tournament with a tough 1-0 loss to Puerto Rico in their first game Saturday. Patton needed just 13 pitches in the game to strike out the side. On Sunday, USA beat the Netherlands 12-2 with Pattok working an efficient inning needing just 8 pitches to get 3 outs. Yesterday, USA scored late, but lost to Venezuela 5-3. Patton did not pitch in that game. USA will be back tonight at 8pm to play Panama before having tomorrow off.
