The Centralia American Legion will host the 22nd Annual Court of Honor on Veterans Day Monday.
The program will begin at 10:30 with Central City Police Chief Jamie Ramsey as keynote speaker. Nominated veterans will be inducted into the honor court during the program sponsored by the Sutherland Funeral Homes and Hillcrest Memorial Park. The program will conclude with lunch.
In Salem, the American Legion is hosting a combination Veterans Day-Thanksgiving Day turkey dinner on Friday, November 22nd. All veterans will receive a free dinner. There will be a $12 charge for others. The dinner will be held from four to eight on the 22nd.
The Iuka Grade School will celebrate Veterans Day with a program at nine on Tuesday morning. Former US Marine Band member Jay Niepoetter will be the guest speaker.
