Ky Bechtel, 58, of Mount Vernon, IL, passed away at 12:50 a.m. on October 29, 2025, at his residence. He was born on March 28, 1967, in Mount Vernon, IL, to Morris H. Bechtel and Dorothy Jean Wisebecker. Ky married Phyllis (Ullery) Bechtel on February 14, 1998, in Woodlawn, IL.
Ky is survived by his loving wife, Phyllis Bechtel; Daughters, Brittany Bechtel and Fiancé Cody Benjamin of Bluford, IL, Tiffani (Seth) Walden Holder of Texico, IL; Son, Kyle Walden of Houston, Tx; Grandchildren, Ethan Holder, Kylee Holder, Brantley Benjamin, Braxton Benjamin, Brentley Benjamin, Bailey Benjamin, Blake Walden; Brother, Frank (Joyce) Bechtel of McLeansboro IL; Sister, Mary Ellen Bechtel of Mount Vernon, IL; Several nieces and nephews.
Ky was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
A graveside service will be held on November 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Panther Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Ky’s honor to Panther Fork Baptist Church Cemetery.
