The Marion County Sheriff’s Department is investigating two burglaries.
The department reported a shed and basement at a residence on the 2700 block of Old U.S. 51 near Bethel Road was entered with almost all the items inside reported missing.
The sheriff’s department is also investigating a burglary to a trailer parked at a business on Industrial Drive in Junction City. Several different gauges of wire were stolen. The business estimated about a third of all the wire in the trailer was taken. The trailer had not been entered by employees since the summer of 2023.
