The Salem Lady Bobcats opened the Salem Invitational last night with a 44-21 win over Breese. Braelan Knaak led all scorers with 16, Kenna Benjamin added 12 and Kinsley Gansauer 6. Salem will take on Carlyle tomorrow.
Also last night in middle school girls basketball, Aviston beat Freeburg 30-17, Odin lost to Bethel 30-22, Nashville nipped Bartelso 44-40, Okawville over All Saints 37-20 and Woodlawn beat Hamilton County 46-22.
