A detached garage was destroyed by fire in Centralia late Wednesday morning.
Centralia City Firemen say the fire was on property owned by Mike Ramey and occupied by Greg Moore at 113 North Cherry. The garage was fully engulfed when firemen arrived and the roof caved in within a minute of their arrival.
Everything in the garage was a total loss. The fire was so hot it melted siding on two adjacent homes.
The fire call came in at 11:51 Wednesday morning with firemen on the scene for about three hours. All available Centralia City Firemen were called in and the Centralia Fire Protection District responded with mutual aid.
