Both the city of Salem and Centralia currently have three candidates who have filed to run for two open seats on the city council in each community.
In Salem, incumbent Royce Bringwald along with Frank Addison and Gerald Molenhour have filed petitions. A total of six packets were picked up to run. Among the others with a packet out is the other incumbent Jim Koehler.
In Centralia, incumbent Rob Jackson has filed along with “Bunny” Garrett and Andrew Heser. 11 petitions in all were taken out. The other incumbent, Jeff Castellari, has not picked up a petition.
The deadline to file for the April non-partisan election is next Monday at five pm. Petitions are being taken at Salem and Centralia City Hall.
