A 53-year-old Salem man has been arrested for violation of the sex offender registration act and driving on a suspended license.
Salem Police say Christopher Melton was taken into custody following a traffic stop at West Main and College. After learning Melton was now homeless, police say the registration violation was filed for not reporting that to the police department as required.
