The Franklin Park Lady Bobcats opened their basketball season with a home win over Effingham 33-24. Lexie Malan led all scorers with 7. Brynn Kessler had 6 along with Maci Susmena and Kenna Benjamin. The Salem JV lost 18-16. Lexie Malan had 9.
Jillian Jones scored 14 as South Central beat North Clay 29-20. Emmie Ruholl added 6 for the Lady Falcons. The SC JV also won 24-18 behind 16 points from Skylar Webster.
ST/WG Opens Season With Blowout Of Sandoval
In middle school boys basketball, St Mary’s/Willow Grove beat Sandoval 54-24. Tucker Aydt was the high scorer with 13. Reid Hall added 11 with 7 each from Blaise Schwartz and Callen Williams.
