Salem Earns 15th Win On Senior Day…Orphans Fall To Rams, Honor Their Senior Trio

The Salem Wildcats honored seniors Keaton Gullion, Oliver Morton and Parker Findlay and then went on to beat Newton for the first time in the senior’s tenure with the school by a final score of 8-0.  Eli Baker scored 5 times giving him 55 goals on the season and putting him tied for 15th all time on the IHSA single season goal scoring list.  The record was Robert Meschback of Gordon Tech who scored 71 goals in 26 matches back in 1976.  Holden Richardson, Austin Woolridge and Alex Spencer also scored for Salem who improved to 15-2-and-1 on the season.  They will travel to Harrisburg tomorrow.

The Centralia Orphans fell on their senior day to rival Mount Vernon 3-2 in overtime.  Senior Deacon Snow had both CHS goals.
