Yesterday opened the National Trail Conference Baseball Tournament.
The SC Cougars beat Neoga 4-2. Hudson Moore doubled for SC and drove in 2 runs. Trevan Sidwell and Brody Markley added RBI. That was more than enough for Callaway Smith who went the distance allowing just 4 hits and striking out 11 with just 1 walk.
South Central advances to play tomorrow at home when they host Windsor/Stew-Stras after the Hatchets upset 2nd seed North Clay 4-3. The other semifinal will see top-seed St Anthony hosting the winner of Altamont/Dieterich.
