The Franklin Park Bobcats joined their softball counterparts in winning a regional title this year, knocking off Wesclin in the finals at Salem yesterday 3-0. Salem won in spite only having 1 hit in the game, a double from Owen Tennyson that drove in a run. Ben Lux also had an RBI. Salem took a 2-0 lead after 4 and tacked on another in the fifth. That was more than enough for Jax Schaubert who went 6.2 scattering 3 hits and striking out 8. Zane Applegate got the final out for the Bobcats who advance to state in Centralia this weekend.
Also in Class L, Flora won the Region 4 title beating Carmi 9-6.
